Arvid started his career in the Norwegian Navy, which included four years in the submarine service. After leaving the military, in 1985 he joined the Norwegian Hydrographic Service as a hydrographic surveyor, receiving his formal training at the Royal Navy Hydrographic School in Plymouth, UK.

In 1992, Arvid moved into mapping in the oil and gas sector, where he specialised in offshore mapping, business development and strategic management. In 2006, he started a subsea company in Brazil from scratch, and acted as its managing director for three years. He returned to Norway in 2010 to become managing director of a company providing services to the North Sea diving industry.

Arvid joined Swire Seabed as CEO in 2013 and in May 2019 assumed a new role as Chief Technology Officer to lead the company's newly created technology division.

Nils Ove graduated from the Norwegian School of Economics as a certified public accountant in 2000. He also has a tax degree from University of Oslo together with an extensive tax related education from Skatteetatskolen.

After several years of working for the Tax Authorities, Nils Ove started as an auditor for Arthur Andersen/Andersen in 1997, and joined Ernst & Young as a manager in 2002, before moving to PwC in 2006 to become a director. In 2010, Nils Ove became CFO of the offshore safety firm Falck Nutec. He joined Swire Seabed as CFO in August 2013, and brings with him broad professional experience in financial services in multiple sectors, including the oil and gas industry.

Nils Ove’s specialist knowledge and experience includes accounting, auditing, financial management, tax and legal issues, mergers and acquisition, business controlling, strategy, financial analysis, budgeting, cash management, and personnel management.

Kjersti holds a BSc in Human Resource Management from BI - Norwegian Business School and has more than 12 years’ experience in the Oil & Gas Industry.

She joined Aker Solution’s HR team in 2006, where she held several HR positions and later became a Senior HR Advisor in 2009. In 2013 Kjersti spent one year with Aker Solution’s HR team in Brunei as part of the start-up team in South East Asia.

Kjersti joined Swire Seabed as HR Manager in 2015 and in 2019 was appointed Head of HR, responsible for HR management of both Swire Seabed and Swire Blue Ocean (Swire Seabed’s sister company).

Mark has 20 years’ experience in operations, project engineering and business development in the subsea, marine and oil and gas industries. He holds a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of East Anglia and a BEng in Civil Engineering from the University of Manchester.

Mark started his career with DSND/Subsea7 as a Project Engineer and held various positions within the Acteon Group, before relocating to Singapore as Regional Manager for Acteon’s InterAct PMT division.

Prior to joining Swire Seabed in 2018 he was the Business Acquisition Manager at DOF Subsea Pte Ltd Asia Pacific in Singapore, where he worked for more than six years. Other work experience includes Technical Manager of TSMarine Pte Ltd, now Fugro, and Subsea Project Engineer for the former OilExco North Sea Ltd.

Frode is educated as an automation engineer with additional training in finance and accounting, project management and business management at Insead in Paris, Norwegian business school in Bergen and Garuda business school in Bergen.

Frode has over 20 years of extensive experience in subsea and offshore operations. He started his subsea career in 1997 as an AUV/ROV operator at Geoconsult AS. He then spent three years at DOF Subsea, working as a Senior ROV Support Engineer, then Project Engineer, and then Project Manager in 2006.

Frode joined Seabed AS in 2008 as an Operations Manager, and in 2012, when Seabed was acquired by Swire, he was appointed COO, responsible for all projects and ROV, survey and engineering operations for Swire Seabed. In May 2019 Frode assumed the role of BD Manager Europe & West Africa.

Vidar has more than 15 years’ experience in subsea construction, with an emphasis on IMR, structure installation, flexibles fabrication and installation, and saturation diving operations. He holds a BSc in Marine Technology from Bergen University College, and an MSc in Marine Technology, jointly from the Universities of Glasgow and Strathclyde in Scotland.

Vidar started his career with Saipem, before moving on to work as a Senior Project Engineer for Stolt Offshore/Acergy. In 2008 he joined Framo Engineering, working as a Package Engineer, before moving to DOF Subsea to establish and manage its Engineering Department. Prior to joining Swire Seabed in 2017, Vidar was Engineering Manager for the Atlantic Region at DOF Subsea, where he was a member of the Senior Management Team, and elected Employee Representative to the Board.

Vidar has performed multiple roles during his career, including engineering and project management, with considerable offshore experience in the North Sea and West Africa. He has gained hands-on experience in many areas including design, engineering, planning, project management and tendering, as well as business development, strategy implementation and people management.

Morten has worked in the ROV industry since 1999 having worked as ROV Pilot and Supervisor for both Geoconsult and DOF Subsea. Morten became a Project Manager at DOF Subsea in 2010, before moving to EMAS Group in 2012, where he progressed from Tender Specialist Engineer to Tender Technical Manager.

More recently, Morten has worked as a Senior Consultant to both Accpron Subsea Management and Omega Subsea, and as a Project Manager for Oceaneering.

Morten’s skills include project management of subsea contracts, tender management, planning of marine operations, planning execution of marine and subsea operations, and extensive ROV experience, both operational and technical. He joined Swire Seabed in 2016 as ROV Manager and in May 2019 was appointed a new role as Head of Operations, responsible for the operational delivery of Swire Seabed's projects.

Martin holds a Master’s degree in Water Resources and Coastal Management from the University of Bergen and has more than 12 years’ experience in Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) management within the aquaculture and oil and gas industries.

Martin began his career at Emisoft as an HSE Consultant before moving on to DNV GL in 2011 where he held various positions related to HSEQ, risk management, technical safety, and environmental and occupational health related issues.

More recently Martin has worked at Hordafor AS, an international company within aquaculture, as Quality Manager. In this position he oversaw quality management at local production facilities and also contributed to Quality Risk Management, auditing and business development across the Hordafor Group.

Martin joined Swire Seabed as HSEQ Manager in 2018.

Jan Arvid has more than 30 years’ experience within the survey industry. He holds qualifications in both surveying and cartography from Rud Yrkesskole, Norway, and management and leadership from Garuda Management School.

Jan Arvid started his subsea survey career in 1986 as a surveyor and data processor for Geoconsult, one of the first commercial companies to use multi-beam echo sounders. At Geoconsult, and subsequently at DOF Subsea, Jan Arvid managed teams using ROVs, Hugin AUVs and hull-mounted systems for detailed seabed mapping and inspection. He is highly experienced in data processing in most offshore surveying disciplines, including shallow and deep water surface based multi-beam echo sounder surveys, towed systems, ROV, ROTV, AUV operations, geophysical surveys, pipeline inspection, structure inspections, pipelay support, coastal survey and environmental baseline surveys.

Jan Arvid’s specialisation is developing tools for the efficient processing data in connection with seabed mapping and pipeline inspection. He joined Swire Seabed in 2016 as a Senior Advisor for Surveys and AUV Operations.

Jarle received a Masters License in Marine Navigation from Vestfold University College in Norway. Born and raised with the ocean as his closest neighbor, Jarle began his sea-going career at a young age. Over the years he has held a variety of positions, ranging from deckhand to 2nd Officer, Chief Officer and eventually Captain.

Jarle joined Swire Seabed in 2008 as Captain and Owners Representative when Swire Seabed (previously Seabed AS) was building the Seabed Worker. Jarle was also involved in the outfitting, commissioning and operation of the Seabed Supporter in Azerbaijan, both as Captain and Maritime Advisor. As maritime advisor, his main focus was to develop a high HSSEQ standard for operation in cooperation with the client. Jarle was later assigned as Captain of the Seabed Constructor when Swire Seabed acquired the vessel in 2016.

During a period of leave from Swire Seabed, prior to the assignment as General Manager Maritime, Jarle has been involved in the management of a fleet of live fish carriers, covering all aspects of day to day operation for this fleet.
